Pioppino is an aromatic mushroom with Italian origin, already known in ancient Rome.
These mushrooms act as tranquillisers and anti-oxidants. Proteins isolated from Pioppino, or, in other words, Agrocybe Aegerita, demonstrate antimycotic and antibiotic effect, as well as reduce triglyceride and cholesterol level in blood. They stand out, when compared to other mushrooms, for their high content of protein.
Their specific floral aroma and slightly sweet taste makes them ideally fit for salads or for use as an additive for exquisite meat dishes. Pioppino is one of the prettiest and most precious cultivated mushrooms. Similar in taste to Boletus edulis.
